Kane Detention Introduces New Pan Ceiling System
KANE, Pennsylvania — October 18, 2011 — Kane Detention has just announced the release of their new Security Metal Pan Ceiling System. This ceiling system serves as the latest addition to their already existing Security Plank Ceiling System, detention screens and mesh products. Medium Security, Maximum Performance For years, pan ceiling systems have been an integral part of areas where an element of overhead surface security is necessary. Kane Detention’s Security Metal Pan Ceiling System affords the end user a medium level of security, as there is no easy access to into the plenum space at any point in the ceiling - with the exception of optional access doors or exit panels. The panels are held in place by engaging the splayed, upturned legs under the square bulb of an extra-heavy-duty suspension system. “Kane has been manufacturing quality security products for over three decades, and security planks since the 1990s. Per requests from the detention community, it only made sense to offer another high-quality security product that complemented our mesh and plank ceiling applications,” said Chris Grilliot, Sales and Marketing Director for Kane Detention. A Wide Array of Features and Applications The Security Metal Pan Ceiling System by Kane Detention is available in steel or stainless steel perforated tiles, with the choice of a painted or natural finish. Other features include: - Formed from 18 gauge steel (other gauges available) - Sound-deadening insulation - Min. 24”x 24” and Max. 24”x 48” Where the Security Plank Ceiling system works well in low-clearance areas including cells, showers, toilets, holding spaces and visitation rooms, Grilliot says that the Security Metal Pan Ceiling System has just as many - if not more - application uses for those areas with higher ceilings. “Our Security Metal Pan Ceiling System offers overhead protection for visitation areas, dayrooms, courthouses and courtroom staging areas, interrogation rooms, control rooms, restrooms and kitchens.” Grilliot explains that Kane Detention’s security product offering gives correctional facility architects and detention equipment contractors an extensive variety of options to choose from. “Coupled with our metal furniture and security mesh, the possibilities for overall correctional facility security are virtually endless.” About Kane Detention The Kane Detention team draws experience from hundreds of thousands of successful installations in detention facilities such as jails, courthouses, prisons and other institutions requiring only the highest level(s) of security. Kane Detention products are the preferred choice of the United States Marshals Service for secure areas in all federal courthouses. In addition, Kane has been chosen by the Federal Bureau of Investigation to protect their commercial properties nationwide.
