Composition

Each Hurri-Kane Storm Barrier and Screen frame is made from 6063 T-6 aluminum. A variety of infill options are available to provide optimal protection, as well as maximum visibility and light transmission. These include: stainless steel perforated plate, galvanized perforated plate and wire mesh. The strong, low-maintenance scuff and corrosion resistant baked-on powder coat finish meets the stringent criteria of the AAMA 2604 salt spray test.

Testing

Hurri-Kane Storm Barriers and Screens are manufactured and installed in accordance with Miami-Dade County NOA and the Florida Building Code. They are tested and certified per the Miami Dade Building Code and the State of Florida product approvals program. Hurri-Kane Barriers have met the criteria to be used in the High Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) achieving design pressures (PSF) of +102.0 and -115.0. Hurri-Kane Barriers and Screens also support FEMA objectives.
